Local Food Runs Explained

Village Pantry Routes links nearby farms and makers with homes on timed county runs. Each week follows the season, so crates lean toward what fields and ovens are producing at pace.

Packing starts before dawn and is arranged by route. You choose a crate size, set a couple of dislikes, and add small extras if needed. If you’re out, drivers leave the box at the safe spot you name.

Extras rotate through eggs, milk or yogurt, a country loaf, soft herbs and a few pantry tasters from partner producers. Availability shifts as growers update their notes.

Questions and Practicalities

When are deliveries made?

County windows usually run Tuesday to Saturday. Most routes are morning, with a few afternoon slots where planning allows.

Can I pause for a week?

Yes—send a message before 12:00 the day prior to your slot and we’ll hold the box for the following week.

How are contents chosen?

Contents track the season and producer notes. You can set dislikes and make two swaps each week.

Do you take packaging back?

Crates are collected on the next visit. Please leave them at your safe spot; clean soft liners can go in household recycling.

What about access?

Drivers can leave boxes at a safe spot or with a neighbour. Gate codes or notes can be shared in your request.
